i was selected for scra 2011 interview marks were maths-89 Physics and chemistry-89 general ability-91 i was one of the 217 selected student u might get an idea of cutoff from this i am from general category interview marks were 116 and i was not seleced finally anyone who got selected please post there marks also as it will give a rough idea of cutoff marks for selection
i would like u to visit blog of dilip kumar .He is also a scra alumini and he has posted all relevent information about it. @akhil have u left iit now ? and in the blog ur written score mentioned is 354.
for general category: 42.5% for obc: 35% for sc: 25% for st: 20% these are not real cuttoffs , but some of my friends got interview call by scoring these numbers in written.real cuttoff may even be lower than this.SCRA is not jee and it is given by very less number of students, who were not able to get seats in iit,dce or nit, so competition is very less if a student is well prepared.you may even notice that half of exaximation hall is empty and it is my own experience.You need to increase your questuion solving speed bcoz there are large number of questions in paper.
How are cut-offs prepared???? Is there any minimum marks required to score in each of the three papers???? Or are the cutoffs prepared out of 600 marks????
They select candidates 4-5 times of the seats. It comes to be 125-200 as per seats available. So they select top 15 - 200 students out of 1.5 lakh students.
If you clear written and then the interview total score is good enough to be in final list, then you certainly can. Suppose you score 145 in interview, which will make your score 365, which must be close enough to cutoff.
Sir, i think this is impossible to score 220 out of 600 in written and qualify for the interview.The paper was relatively easy then that of previous years and the cutoff for the written paper might be extremely high this year.
you have not read the whole sentence... scoring 220 out of 600 is not a difficult task...but scoring only 220 AND qualifying for the interview does sound impractical because many people out there are telling that they are expecting more than 300 out of 600.But don't just give up hope yet.,...

seriously sir only 30%?? i.e. just 180 marks. to my mind paper deserves a bit more score as its cutoff score. i am scoring around 290+. what are my chances??

I have checked with last few years oBC successful and unsuccessful candidates and 280 marks deserves to have the interview call atleast. My dad is in Railways and since I am also from OBC, i am also expecting a call.

sir,i have checked some of your earlier post as your are cutoff might be around 35 percent,i don't think paper was that difficult,it atleast deserve 50 percent.
