Will these factors lower the cut off? Aryanclasses please reply soon as i am getting very stressed regarding my marks.
The MAT paper was quite lengthy and tough. Maths was also very tough. It seems the postponement affected every one.Could anyone suggest the possible cut off. Pronnoy

I have a doubt regarding question 5 in MAT, Shouldn't the code be applied to a=b=c given in the question as well Then the answer would be option 4. Replies are requested.
I being a teacher would advice you do not inform/question NCERT because NCERT is very strict to those who raise objection on question paper . you must be knowing about 73 students who disqualified in NTSE 2012 for raising undue objection on question paper . they were declared eligible for scholarship in march 2014 but they missed 2 years scholarship. so don't do any such thing . you may delete your blog . stop worrying about NTSE and prepare for other exams like KVPY . All the best for KVPY
NCERT after publishing the answer key would invite remarks of stakeholders and objections if any could be informed then. We should definitely apprise them, no penalization on that account.
dear sir , what is the correct for q.no 1 in NTSE SAT paper? In NCERT books they have given that humans did not evolve from chimpanzees.but in the answer key they have given the answer as option (4) .please clarify my doubt.
@ anonymous........ Cut off cannot be less than 80, I presume. There is no point in saying that cut off has been declared without revealing the source. Please reveal your name at least.
I appeared from tamil nadu centre- chennai for the exam .about 240 other children were also present .most of then were only able to attempt 20 to 22 q in mat paper .if the senario is the same for other centre s the cutoff might be low
Write an email to NCERT regarding all wrong questions, so they can release the answer key accordingly. however they will ask you the same thing again, later on.
I am pretty sure it won't be more than 90. Many factors, especially negative marking and postponing of exam and also relatively harder MAT paper. How much are you expecting though, I am getting around 98.
You will qualify definitely (if it is after negative marks are considered). Cut-off will be around 85-88. Last year, it was 92 for general category. However, there was no negative marking last year. This year, question papers were tough and with negative marking, 85-88 will be the cut-off.
Answer Key of Stage II has been published by NCERT for feedback from public by 24.11.2014. All are requested to send their comments by the stipulated date. There will not be any grudge by NCERT if you send your feedback as somebody had suggested.
God bless you if it's so! I'm apprehensive about the cut-off. It can't drop by 10 marks. If the no. of scholarships to be awarded increases then it may reduce. Since in my centre, per room about 5 candidates were absent. We can come to conclusions only after the frozen answer key is published.
I'm so happy , NTSE result declared! I'm an NTSE Scholar now! Cut off very less than expected. It's less than 74 since my friend got 74 and still he got selected. :D
may be only 48 have qualified as qualifying criteria too is changed one has to get 40% in each paper MAT, SAT and English. Even in gen catagory a list of 773 students is given and as far my knowledge cut off is around 69
Lists all the Questions that are ambiguous. NCERT has not taken these into consideration while freezing the answer keys in spite of multiple representations.
Some students have crossed the cutoff but due the minimum 40% scoring in MAT they have lost the scholarship. As less number of students are given the scholarship this year in comparison to the previous year, NCERT can give scholarship to those who have crossed the cutoff but lost in the 40% rule.
My brother joined brainmaster last year for NTSE preparations, but could not score good, then next year his junior joined Catalyser, although both are average student, his friend scored good n this was all coz of efforts of teachers in Catalyser and their system of teaching.
Is English just qualifying for the second stage test also or will the marks be included in the total?
ReplyDeletePlease help. Thanks.
No, only 20 marks (40%) are required to qualify for the scholarship.
DeleteDoes that marks include negative marking?
DeleteYes negetive marking (1+1/3) mark will cut for wrong answer
Deletedoes it mean that we should score 40% in every subject viz. maths,iq,english, science(will it be calculated in physics, chemistry and bio seperately)??
ReplyDeleteNo, 40% will be calculated only as per MAT, total SAT and ENGLISH
Deletehow many scholarships are going to be awarded this year

ReplyDeleteso how to represent it to NCERT i have attempted 5 of these 6 question
ReplyDeleteI think only Resonance and FIITJEE have came out with the Answer Keys. Official Answer Key from NCERT has not yet been published.
