    1. No, only 20 marks (40%) are required to qualify for the scholarship.

    2. Does that marks include negative marking?

      Delete
    3. Yes negetive marking (1+1/3) mark will cut for wrong answer

  2. does it mean that we should score 40% in every subject viz. maths,iq,english, science(will it be calculated in physics, chemistry and bio seperately)??

  22. We may represent the NCERT so that they would take note of it. If these six questions are deleted, what would be the possible cut off

    ReplyDelete
  23. so how to represent it to NCERT i have attempted 5 of these 6 question

    ReplyDelete
  24. I think only Resonance and FIITJEE have came out with the Answer Keys. Official Answer Key from NCERT has not yet been published.

    ReplyDelete
  25. FIITJEE, Resonance and Aryan can take it up with NCERT in the interest of students, if they feel the matter stated in the Blog is correct and valid.

    ReplyDelete
  26. I have a doubt regarding question 5 in MAT,
Shouldn't the code be applied to a=b=c given in the question as well
Then the answer would be option 4.
    Replies are requested.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Should NCERT be informed about the wrong questions? If yes, how?

    ReplyDelete
  28. I being a teacher would advice you do not inform/question NCERT because NCERT is very strict to those who raise objection on question paper . you must be knowing about 73 students who disqualified in NTSE 2012 for raising undue objection on question paper . they were declared eligible for scholarship in march 2014 but they missed 2 years scholarship.
so don't do any such thing . you may delete your blog . stop worrying about NTSE and prepare for other exams like KVPY . All the best for KVPY

  29. No we should inform NCERT about this.NCERT should pay attention to it.

    ReplyDelete
  30. NCERT after publishing the answer key would invite remarks of stakeholders and objections if any could be informed then. We should definitely apprise them, no penalization on that account.

  40. Write an email to NCERT regarding all wrong questions, so they can release the answer key accordingly. however they will ask you the same thing again, later on.

  41. Aryans projecting the cut off between 92 and 96. It seems to be bit on the higher side.
What is the basis of projection?

    ReplyDelete

    1. I am pretty sure it won't be more than 90.
Many factors, especially negative marking and postponing of exam and also relatively harder MAT paper.
How much are you expecting though, I am getting around 98.

    2. im getting 87 general category can i qualify any chances

    2. You will qualify definitely (if it is after negative marks are considered). Cut-off will be around 85-88. Last year, it was 92 for general category. However, there was no negative marking last year. This year, question papers were tough and with negative marking, 85-88 will be the cut-off.

    2. God bless you if it's so! I'm apprehensive about the cut-off. It can't drop by 10 marks. If the no. of scholarships to be awarded increases then it may reduce. Since in my centre, per room about 5 candidates were absent. We can come to conclusions only after the frozen answer key is published.

  62. Some students have crossed the cutoff but due the minimum 40% scoring in MAT they have lost the scholarship. As less number of students are given the scholarship this year in comparison to the previous year, NCERT can give scholarship to those who have crossed the cutoff but lost in the 40% rule.
